Michael Moniz :: Bio
Club Coach
michaelmoniz@ultimategoal.net

Michael was born in Richmond, Virginia where he first discovered his love for soccer.  The summer before his sophomore year in high school he moved to Cartersville, GA just north of Atlanta.  After some trying times of adjusting his first two years of high school in Georgia he was shown the love of Christ through a group of wonderful guys and it has since completely changed his life.

Michael went to Jacksonville University in Jacksonville Florida on a soccer scholarship and prayed for God’s direction in his life.  During his first semester of his sophomore year, God called Michael to full-time occupational ministry.  After taking a semester off for prayer, discernment, and guidance for where God wanted him specifically; God placed Michael in Youth Ministry.   For the next five years Michael was a full-time youth minister and received his Bachelors in Religion from Berry College.

During his last semester at Berry College, Michael met his wife Erin.  Erin is a musician  in a group called Day39 that has been called to minister through music to those who would not normally enter the doors of a church.  It was through this ministry that Michael and Erin first felt called to Nashville, TN.  Michael then resigned from his position as a full-time youth minister at a church in Atlanta to trust in God’s will for him working with youth in Nashville.  After two weeks in Nashville, God placed before Michael this unique ministry which he uniquely fits with his passion for sharing Christ to youth and his experience and love of soccer.  Michael is enjoying and looking forward to working more with the Kurdish community and in joining in with the vision of Ultimate Goal ministries.
