Participant from Nashville
The Nashville Trip was quite an uplifting experience. Throughout the week I broadened my knowledge of the Kurdish community as well as developed a closer relationship with God. I learned about Kurdish culture, lifestyle, thoughts, feelings, actions, as well as how they have a great love for fireworks. Ha Ha.

I could personally tell that throughout the week the children began to open up in listening and understanding Christianity. I began to get close with Kovan midway through the week. He told me about himself and life in their community. When I shared my testimony Wednesday night, afterwards Kovan was the one who came to me talking about a similar event that had taken place in his life. It was very special to me. On Friday, seeing how much friendship and sportsmanship was shown during the soccer game was very touching. Everything about the week was just truly amazing.

I could have easily stayed another month. I personally liked the time with the Kurdish kids throughout the week. Just spending time and playing soccer with them and making new friends. The only part I didn't like was that it was only a week long. Boy I wish it was more than that.

God challenged me this week in many ways. One of the strongest was when Brian asked me to give my testimony to the kids. I'm not one to speak in front of groups but for some reason I accepted the challenge. God gave me the words to tell my story and it went great. I am now different in that I know have more trust in God; He is always with me and will guide me every step of my life. I personally cannot think of a thing that could be done differently. I thought that everything ran very smoothly and was very enjoyable. The Nashville Mission Trip has really turned my life around. I now have a deeper interest in God and how he plays a role in my life. The Kurdish kids reached me in a way i thought not possible.

I never knew a mission trip could be this awesome. I recommend anyone who is looking for a great time spreading God's Word, as well as interaction with some fun, enjoyable Kurdish kids to take this trip. it will change your life forever. I am truly thankful for you John and this wonderful ministry. It has truly changed my life.
