The Ultimate Goal Ministries Trip really influenced my life a lot. God really spoke some things into me on the trip. I learned that God opens so many doors for us, but a lot of times we choose to not see them. God gives us many opportunities to touch other's lives, but we have take hold of those opportunities, not stay in our comfort zone and reach out to those around us. So many people are hungry for God's word and truth. On the trip I was really pushed out of my comfort zone. God really spoke to me that I should always be willing to leave what is comfortable to talk to someone if he tells me to. This missions trip really showed me a lot also, it changed my view of how I looked at missions in a whole. I have always heard and been told that actions speak louder than words. I believed that, but on the missions trip I really got to practice it. The people we ministered to weren't all interested in what we had to say, but just the fact that we were there for them, and wanted to just bless their lives was a way to preach to them. Sure, we did get to talk to the people we witnessed to about Christ, but they had to be interested first, it had to be something they wanted. I really learned that by our actions, people can see God through us, and that people are drawn to, or away from us because of our actions. I realized how much I was blessed on this trip, and how lucky I am. I can't even begin to tell you everything that God spoke into my life, and how much he taught me! It was an incredible trip and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything! Not only did I have an excellent time, get to minister, share my faith, and witness and reach out to others, but I also got to know a really cool group of people–teenagers and adults–who have definitely influenced my life forever! The UGM trip taught me that missions or ministering is really just reaching out to those around you, stepping out of your comfort zone, and sharing the love of God that lives inside of you, whether it's just a hello to someone you don't know, or if it's leading someone to Christ!
