“First of all, I never
thought in a million years I wouldn't apply for the Nashville outreach.
I was totally planning on it, but as we tend to find out is that
God has different plans! I learned soooo much on the Nashville trip.
I really did. Every time I come home from a short-term mission trip
I always say, ‘Why can't this be done here?’ Well, instead
of thinking it I'm letting God lead and I am anticipating our own
little soccer outreach for the entire summer. We have so many people
right here that need to be reached. Our assistant pastor is very
into evangelism and ready to get out of our little church building
and into the community. He just started meeting with some new Christians
(farmers) during the week. These farmers hire MANY migrant workers
from Mexico. We have a lot of Mexicans here. This is where we want
to start. I'm really excited to see where God is going to take us.
Amidst my excitement I am sad to say that I will not be applying
for the Nashville outreach. Thank you though for inspiring me to
serve the Lord right where I am. You must be in awe of how God has
used you, I know I am.”
